Open Pole practice time

Open Practice Hours. Must be registered for every hour you are attending, even if they are back to back. Registration must happen in advance. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in having Open Pole times restricted or arriving to an empty locked studio.

PLEASE SIGN UP AHEAD SO WE KNOW YOU ARE COMING! This time is reserved for, and preference/poles will be given for COMPETITION AND SHOWCASE practice first! You may still register if you are not performing/competing, but you may have to use a different pole than you are used to. Learn beginning pole in 8 classes!

With our Pole Foundations program, you will learn everything you need to start our regular members classes with strength and confidence!

This 8 class program is available multiple times a week throughout our schedule. Our Pole Professors will make sure you and your other new Pole Squad members get individualized attention while you crush goals together and cheer each other on! Get ready to make new friends, gain new skills, grow new muscles and find new pride in bruises (pole kisses) To become a member of VFS and attend members only classes, you must complete a minimum of 8 Foundations classes and pass a simple test given by the instructor of your final class. At that time they will go over your membership options, or you can reach out to us at 916-508-3234 via call or text, or email info@verticalfitnessstudio.com to get your membership set up. Month to month memberships can also be purchased through the Mindbody online app or site.

NOTE: Purchasing any of the 8 Class Foundations Promotions are one time only bonus offers. There are no makeups, cancelations or refunds if a class is missed. Additional drop ins can be purchased at the standard drop in rate, a different promo may be purchased, or additional classes may be taken upon purchasing a membership.

You've mastered your spins and built your strength from the ground up in Pole Foundations.

Now it's time to level up & work on the 2 things everyone who starts poling wants to learn... Climbing and inversions! This class focuses on the many varied Pole climbs (Forearm, Side, Booty, Veena, Mermaid, Crossover and more) as well as core strength conditioning to get into your invert safely. In addition to inverts, inverted and upright static pole poses will be mastered in preparation for Level 3: Climbs & Combos.

We require 8 Climbs & Inverts classes before attempting Climbs & Combos, and we recommend continuing to refine your skills in Climbs & Inverts as often as you can

It's time to take the strong moves you built in Climbs & Inverts, and start putting them together into combos! This class will focus on intermediate to advanced pole moves being done in succession before dismounting from the pole. This class will also help you gain or strengthen your existing aerial inverts, aerial shoulder mounts, handsprings, and other advanced moves.

Must attend a minimum of 8 Level 2: Climbs & Inverts classes, have a good handle on level 2 moves, a confident and proper invert, and preferably a basic shoulder mount, to attend.

Pole Transitions

Transitions is all about transitioning from one move to another! In this class, we will get creative and explore new and fun ways to enter and exit tricks and spins. The curriculum will vary each week but every class is designed to improve your fluidity, confidence, and style! All levels welcome but participants should have a basic Invert & developed a repertoire of beginner moves before coming to this class. Knee pads, leggings, and heels are encouraged!

All levels welcome. Learn to dance to a choreographed routine. All moves will be broken down and modifications given if necessary.

 KNEE PADS RECOMMENDED!

Starting Aug 5th 'Cravin' by Stileto, Kendyle Paige

Heels ok

Spinning Pole: Level 1-2

All of your favorite Level 1-2 Pole moves, without the pin! Experience pole in motion as the pole spins while you move about it. Spin is a favorite of many, but can also be difficult for those who experience motion sickness. We recommend taking ginger or travel sickness medication prior to this class if you believe you will feel ill while on spin.

Aerial Hoop

Dress is up to you, on the bare equipment leggings will make you slide more, but on the taped hoop grip tape can grab at your skin.

The last Sunday of the month we will be using the 'Aria' which is silks on a spinning pole. Bare legs are needed for grip, bring a shirt that covers your armpits and stomach.

Flexibility

Flexy Gainz:
All Levels Flexibility

Now with added active Flexibility training, Flexy Gainz is the perfect class to compliment any aerial workout! Is your backbend lacking some bendy? Have you always dreamed of having perfectly flat splits or even oversplits? Throughout the week, Tiffany rotates classes through Front Splits, Side Splits, Backbends & Forward Bends, using her knowledge & the power of active movement, cardio, solo and partner stretching to acheive maximum results. In this class you will use the pole, the floor, yoga blocks, yoga balls, and even the ballet barreto perform both solo & partner stretches. Warning, if you attend this class, you will have to work with & touch your partner, so if you are nervous, bring a good friend! However, even if you come alone, once you see the benefits of partner stretches, any hesitation you might have had will melt away, just like your inflexibility. Stretching regularly increases your range of motion, which will make everything you do, both on and off the pole, more graceful! Stretching also prevents injury and conditions your body for any athletic activity!

This is practice time built in as an added benefit of being an active, full-fledged Limited or Unlimited Member of Vertical Fitness Studio. This time is scheduled by the hour, in advance, and may be used for self-led individual practice time on any of our apparatuses or simply within our space. If you are not a member of VFS, there is no way to schedule these times. Please do not ask. Non-members are welcome to purchase private studio rental time starting at $65/hr, purchase a private lesson package, or simply become a member and use this awesome benefit free of cost!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The instructor on duty will be there to supervise & work on their own training or other activity. This is not a structured class & they will not provide any instruction. As always, they can offer a spot if needed, but this isn't a learning style class. If you would like a private lesson, we have multiple packages available.

Secondly, this time MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE. The instructor on duty will check the daily schedule the morning of each day we have M.O. Open scheduled, and they ARE NOT required to be here during any hour that there is no one signed up. If you show up and no one is here, and you did not pre-register, this is why. Please make sure to schedule your time responsibly.

Finally, these Open Hours may NOT be used to instruct another individual, regardless of either persons membership status, nor may it be used for any commercial activity, such as live vlogging, creating online content, taking remote private lessons from someone else, or any other commercial activity not listed. The only exception to individuals instructing eachother is during showcase rehearsal prep, as group routines obviously will learn together.

For commercial activity booking time, please contact the owner.
